In February 2022, Google introduced Android 13. There are some new functions and possibilities, but a lot is also happening under the hood. The Pixel 3 would theoretically still be able to run Android 13, but is no longer supported by Google. There are only security updates for that.

But other manufacturers will also provide Android 13 as an update. Samsung is working flat out to update Android 13 with One UI 5.0 for its smartphones. That Galaxy S22 will be the first model to receive this update. But many more models will follow. Samsung now promises four new Android versions and five years of security updates. The company even trumps Google.

But not only Samsung and Google want to quickly distribute Android 13 updates.
