Are these the ugliest cell phones in history?

Nokia 7700. Shown as Nokia's first “multimedia” phone in 2003 with Symbian OS Series 90 as a core part of the offering. It never went on the market. The one that did sell was its successor, the Nokia 7710.

Nokia 7700. It was shown as Nokia’s first “multimedia” phone in 2003 with Symbian OS Series 90 as a core part of the offering. It never went on the market. The one that did sell was its successor, the Nokia 7710.

Sierra Wireless VOQ. The Canadian company Sierra Wireless had this as their first and only cell phone. Its curious design and price of US$400 (about US$600 in 2021 if we consider inflation) did not take customers away from another Canadian company on the rise in 2003: BlackBerry.

Samsung S5150 DIVA. Definitely a phone designed for fashionistas, but this 2009 phone ended up on an “ugliest” list.

Nokia 3300A. What can we say? Back in 2003, Nokia thought we all wanted cell phones that looked like tacos.

MOTOROLA Personal Phone. This representative of the category has been here since 1992. It had no screen and gave instructions to the user through “beeps”.

NTT Personal Paldio 101Y. This rarity comes from Japan. It was manufactured by Sony for the Japanese cellular operator in 1995. It is known as the “toilet seat” phone.

Nokia 7600. We are still in 2003 and Nokia was still in strange ways. This phone was aimed at the fashionistas with limited units. The positive? It is one of Nokia’s first 3G phones. Let’s remember: Apple would not put 3G on its cell phones until 2008.

I-Kids SF-001. It came out in 2006 and we don’t know much more about this phone for children… and we think it’s better that way.

Nokia 3650. How not to see the circular arrangement of the buttons? Another Nokia experiment in 2002.

LG Savage Phone. This phone marked the debut and farewell of Savaje OS, a Java-based operating system that LG supported. His step was little memorable, as much as this cell phone.

Samsung P110V. The design of this 2007 “toad” included a multi-directional hinge. A concept that definitely stole looks.

Toshiba TS21I. We already know why Toshiba isn’t in the cell phone business.
