When it comes to leaks, some manufacturers have become very predictable. So does Google. Now the upcoming Google Pixel 7 has been spotted on eBay. The buyer even officially states it as a prototype and names some specifications.

Just a while ago, a pixel watch was forgotten in a café and immediately leaked onto the internet. Apparently, the Google Pixel 7 has now made it out of Google’s hallowed company halls. At this year’s I/O, Google only gave a small preview of the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. A real performance is not planned until autumn. So much for the state of affairs.

Now a Reddit user has noticed an eBay auction where someone offered a Google Pixel 7 prototype. Although the auction was quickly taken offline, it is saved in a web archive.

The Google Pixel 7 in the color Stormy Black with 128 GB memory was offered in the auction. The starting bid was $450. In the description, the provider explicitly mentioned that it was a prototype. This is rarely seen on leaked devices. In addition, he also mentioned some hardware details, but none of them come as a great surprise.

It is also interesting that the pictures for the eBay auction were apparently shot with a Pixel 7 Pro. The back of the smartphone can be seen in various reflections, which looks confusingly similar to that of the big brother model.

Shortly after the Reddit post made the rounds, The Verge contacted the seller. He claims that he simply bought the Pixel 7 from a retailer (“wholesaler”). He only knew after some research that it was the Pixel 7. The ominous dealer is also said to have sold the Pixel 7 Pro.

What do you think of the Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro? Let us know what you think in a comment.
