Through a reliable source, we now know almost everything about the Xiaomi Redmi Pad and its specifications. The tablet will be on the market soon. With the device, Xiaomi will compete with competitors and their affordable tablets.
Rumor: Xiaomi Redmi Pad specifications on the street
Through WinFuture everything about Xiaomi’s upcoming tablet is on the street. It is the affordable Redmi Pad, which is equipped with a 10.61-inch LCD screen. The display has a resolution of 2000 by 1200 pixels and they refresh a maximum of 90 times per second.
Other details about the screen consist of a maximum brightness of 400 nits and a contrast ratio of 1500 to 1. That is not very good, but common in this price range and fine for most people. The current Xiaomi 11T Pro smartphone, for example, has a screen with a brightness of up to 1000 nits, which is 2.5 times brighter – and easy to read in direct sunlight.
Don’t expect a speed monster for the price, but the relatively new MediaTek Helio G99 processor provides the necessary computing power. There is 3 or 4GB of RAM and you can choose from versions with 64GB or 128GB internal storage.
A battery of 8000 mAh has been chosen, with which you should easily get through the day. Charging goes with a maximum of 18 Watts and a charger can also be found in the box.
Android 12 and four speakers on board
The tablet is equipped with four speakers with the Dolby Atmos certificate. As a result, you can enjoy music on Spotify or a movie on Netflix. The whole runs on Android 12 and on top of that is its own custom MIUI shell for tablets. 5G is missing and whether there will be a 5G variant at all is still the question. The tablet does have room for a SIM card, so you can use the internet via a 4G connection.
On the front is an 8 megapixel camera with an angle of view of 105 degrees. This allows you to take a great photo if you are with a group of people. On the back is also a simple sensor with the same resolution.
Soon available for 250 euros
The Xiaomi Redmi Pad comes in three colors, namely gray, silver and mint green. The tablet would cost 250 euros. What the additional price will be for models with more working and storage memory is still unknown. We think we will announce the tablet on October 4, because on that day a Xiaomi event will take place in Munich.
There we will see the brand new Xiaomi 12T series anyway. It consists of at least two devices, including the Xiaomi 12T Pro. That device will be the first from the Chinese manufacturer with a camera of 200 megapixels, according to recent rumors. The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra also has such a sensor on board.
