Samsung’s upcoming budget smartphone will get a new processor and a remarkably large screen. These are the expected specs.
‘These are the Samsung Galaxy a14 specifications’
The Galaxy A14 is supposed to be Samsung’s latest budget smartphone and several specifications have now been leaked. Website Sammobile reports that the phone will be equipped with a brand new processor: the Exynos 1330, which Samsung makes itself. We don’t know exactly how fast the chip is, but it would be assisted by 4GB of RAM.
The Galaxy A13, which was released in the Netherlands this year, has an Exynos 850 processor. A 5G version of the S13 is also available and it has a different, MediaTek processor. However, the new Galaxy A14 seems to have 5G support as standard, so that the phone can also handle the faster internet.
In addition, the Samsung A14 would have a remarkably large screen of 6.8 inches. This is useful if you watch a lot of videos on your smartphone and regularly play a game. It is an LCD display with a full HD resolution, but it is unclear whether the phone also offers a high refresh rate.
Furthermore, the Samsung phone would have a 50-megapixel main camera, as we see more often with budget phones today. Rumors also talk about a hefty 5000 mAh battery and 13 megapixel selfie camera. In the software area, we expect Android 13 with Samsung’s One UI shell on top.
Images of the Samsung Galaxy A14 surfaced earlier. The renders show that the new smartphone is quite similar to its predecessor and quite basic looks. For example, we see another ‘old-fashioned’ notch in the screen and the bezels are on the large side.
Samsung will probably launch the Galaxy A14 in early 2023. The device will in any case appear in black, but we think that Samsung will also offer other colors. The cheapest version of the A13 went for 189 euros over the counter. However, Sammobile writes that the Galaxy A14 5G will cost around 230 euros.
