Samsung hardly manages to keep the prices at the same level as the predecessors, but has to increase them noticeably:

First the good news: The The price of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 remains unchanged compared to its predecessor – at least with the 256 GB version. It still costs 1,799 euros. The 512 GB model is 20 euros more expensive. The situation is similar with the Z Flip 4, which costs a whopping 60 euros more in the 128 GB version. The 256 GB version is at least 70 euros more than the Galaxy Z Flip 3.
You also have to pay a little more for the new smartwatches. The Galaxy Watch 5 starts at 299 euros. The predecessor cost 269 euros. Here you have to put 30 euros more on the table. The Classic model is no longer available, so a comparison with the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is a bit difficult. The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic cost 399 euros. The new Pro model will cost 469 euros. But there is also much better hardware. Either way, that’s a lot of money for a smartwatch.
Are Samsung prices too high?
If you consider that many people are currently saving and can no longer afford luxury goods – and that includes folding cell phones and smartwatches – then the sales figures may not be as high as Samsung would like. You can see that very well with tablets at the moment. People prefer to stick with what they have and don’t spend money unnecessarily on things they don’t really need. Higher prices don’t help either.
If you really want one of the new Samsung products, we would advise you to wait a bit until the prices drop. This also happened with the predecessors and will also affect the new generation. You just have to be patient for a few months.
