What does Samsung’s new flip phone look like? Thanks to renders of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, we may now have a nice idea. The device seems to get not one, but two screens on the outside. Check out the images.
Renders show Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5
Samsung seems to be making major changes with the Galaxy Z Flip 5. We previously read that the flip phone will have a larger screen on the outside, but it may not stop there. According to Twitter SuperRoader the device has two screens on the outside. This is evident from renders that he leaked from the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5.
Next to the two cameras is a small display on which you can read the time and battery status, among other things. Below that is a much larger, almost square 3.4 inch screen. You can use that to take selfies, change settings and view your notifications. It is unclear whether you could also run apps on this screen.
The device may also get flat sides, where they still had a slight curve with the Z Flip 4. The large screen fills the entire interior, with the exception of a small hole for the selfie camera.
We do take these renders of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 with a grain of salt. SuperRoader is not a very well known source. The pictures also look a bit clumsy.
We already know this about the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5
Samsung will probably release the Galaxy Z Flip 5 in August, together with the Galaxy Z Fold 5. An important innovation of both smartphones would be in the hinge. The screens may get a water drop shape, making the fold less noticeable. The two halves of the phones could also lie completely flat on top of each other.
In addition, the Z Flip 5 probably runs on a lightning-fast Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, which we know from the Galaxy S23 series. The device may also get better cameras, but details are still missing.
