The OnePlus 11 is the manufacturer’s 2023 flagship and the cameras play a big role again. The first photos have now appeared and so we know exactly what to expect from the cameras.
The first photos from the OnePlus 11 camera
OnePlus has presented its latest flagship: the OnePlus 11. The smartphone is equipped with the fastest processor of the moment and charges smoothly. In addition, it has an (on paper) impressive set of cameras. There is a single selfie camera that takes snapshots of 16 megapixels and on the back we see another three lenses. The main camera has a resolution of 50 megapixels, autofocus and optical image stabilization.
Unfortunately, it is not a 1-inch sensor, which we do see in various other devices. A wide-angle lens of 48 megapixels is also present. This allows you to capture more on camera, for example architecture, landscapes or groups of people. Finally, there is the telephoto lens, with which you zoom in optically. A striking detail is that it can zoom less far than the OnePlus 10 Pro.
The OnePlus 11 is currently only available in China and will also be launched worldwide in early February. All kinds of photos taken with the phone are now appearing online. This way we know exactly what the 11 has to offer in terms of camera.
OnePlus’ camera modules have been developed for some time in collaboration with camera manufacturer Hasselblad. This mainly produces unique colours, but is also beneficial for performance in different lighting conditions.
Good low light performance
We see that the OnePlus 11 manages to capture a wide dynamic range. This means that both the light and dark parts of a photo are well exposed, because several photos are merged. This technique is called HDR and does not look too made in these photos, but rather natural.
In situations with sufficient light, we also see some portrait photos with a bokeh effect. Here, the subject in the foreground looks sharp, while the background is blurred. Many of the photos were also taken in the evenings, so that we get an idea of what the OnePlus 11 can do in lower light. Colors are captured well, as are details.
More about the OnePlus 11
The OnePlus 11 is one of the first flagships of 2023. On February 7, we will be told when the flagship will appear in the Netherlands and what the price will be.
The smartphone is equipped with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space. The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh, which is half full within 10 minutes. This is due to the maximum charging speed of 100 Watt. However, wireless charging is not included.
The device runs on Android 13 and comes out with the OxygenOS shell. In addition, it seems that the OnePlus 11 will receive four major Android updates and five years of security patches. The smartphone comes in green and black, but a price is still unknown. Its direct predecessor, the OnePlus 10 Pro, cost 899 euros upon release.
