Nokia has unveiled an Android phone abroad that costs less than 80 euros. These are the specifications of the Nokia C12 Pro.
Nokia C12 Pro official: Very cheap
HMD Global – which is responsible for the Nokia smartphones – recently released new phones in the Netherlands, but has now unveiled a very cheap device in India. The Nokia C12 Pro, as the smartphone is called, costs only 79 euros. This makes it one of the most affordable devices of the moment.
The Nokia C12 Pro runs on Android 12 (Go Edition), a special version of the operating system for devices with slow hardware. The newer Android 13 (Go) is therefore missing, while it can be found on the Nokia C32 and C22, for example. HMD Global promises to support the C12 Pro for two years with security patches, which are released by the company every quarter.
The design of the Nokia phone is simple and a bit outdated. Actually, the C12 Pro looks like a smartphone from a few years ago. The screen has not too thin edges, there is a large chin at the bottom and the notch sees in a clear notch at the top.
Simple hardware, replaceable battery
Under the hood of the Nokia C12 Pro is a modest Unisoc processor, which is certainly not a speed monster. As a result, the smartphone is only suitable for simple apps and basic tasks. In addition, it has 2GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Incidentally, a version with more RAM will also appear in India. It is about 5 euros more expensive.
The screen is 6.3 inches in size and has an HD resolution, but the battery is more striking. With a capacity of 4000 mAh, it is not very large, but it is interchangeable. This allows you to simply place a new battery in the device when the old one is empty or worn out.
Furthermore, the Nokia C12 Pro is equipped with a single camera on the back with a resolution of 8 megapixels. The phone shoots selfies in 5 megapixels. Finally, the Nokia phone has a headphone jack, dual SIM support, IP52 certification and a micro-USB connection for charging.
Other Nokias
As mentioned, the Nokia C12 Pro has been announced in India. It does not seem that the smartphone will also appear in the Netherlands. The Nokia C22 and C22 are available here, with suggested retail prices of 149 and 129 euros respectively. The Nokia G22 has also recently become available for sale, a device that is easy to repair.
