WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that shows beta users on Android, iOS, Web and desktop the estimated time of arrival and upload of a document to be shared on the instant messaging network.

The new function of WhatsApp It allows both knowing when a document will be downloaded in its entirety to the recipient’s device or uploaded to the platform’s servers to be sent within a chat.

Arrival on all platforms

WABetaInfo remember, after advancing the information, that this new function has already reached WhatsApp Desktop last March and this week its deployment is taking place among some beta users both in Android (v2.22.8.11) as in iOS (v22.8.0.74).

To offer this information to the user, a percentage is shown just below the document in question and, to its right in parentheses, the estimated time for the operation to reach 100%.

The media affirms that it is a very useful function, especially for beta users in Argentina, the only country so far in which WhatsApp allows you to share documents up to 2GB in size. (EuropePress)
