WhatsApp is trying to provide better features for group administrators, giving them more control over what is posted to them.
For this reason, the messaging service is now working on a new tool to allow administrators to delete any message they see fit.
The function has been seen in the beta of WhatsApp and it comes after the addition to silently remove or add members, in addition to the already required surveys.
As seen, the administrators will be able to eliminate the messages of other users of the group without major inconveniences.
Of course, in the group a ‘this message has been deleted by the administrator’ will be read, so that the rest of the members can know what happened to the text or image.
Yet to come
At the moment, the novelty is only being tested in the beta version and has no arrival date on the official servers of WhatsApp.
In parallel, the app is working on the ability to detect when Do Not Disturb mode has been activated when sending messages to other users. In addition, it is already allowing people to link their WhatsApp account on an Android tablet as a second device.
